Account Settings
Account settings are deliberately limited. You can log in, log out, reset a forgotten password, export account data, and choose a light or dark theme. There is no general account settings screen.
Log in and understand session length
Open the login page and enter the email and password used for the account. An authenticated session lasts up to 12 hours. After the session expires, the next protected page asks you to log in again.
The 12 hour period is fixed when the session is issued. Activity does not extend it. Closing a browser window also does not necessarily end it because the secure session cookie can remain until its expiry. Use Log out when you finish on a shared or untrusted device.
Repeated failed login attempts are limited. If the page says there were too many attempts, wait fifteen minutes before trying again. Check the email address and keyboard state before another attempt. Passwords are case sensitive.
Log out on every device
Select Log out in the signed in header. Logout clears the current browser cookie and revokes all account sessions that use the current account session version. In practical terms, sessions already open for the account on other browsers or devices stop being valid too.
Another device may continue to display a page that was already loaded, but its next protected request will require a fresh login. Logout does not change the password, delete projects, or invalidate client links. Clients can continue to use a current project link because client access does not use the owner's account session.
Global session revocation is useful if you left the account open elsewhere. Log back in only on devices you still trust. If you think someone knows the password, reset it as well.
Reset a forgotten password
Open the password reset page from the login flow and enter the account email. The page gives the same completion response whether or not an account exists for that email. The behavior avoids exposing which addresses have accounts.
If the account exists and the request is allowed, the service sends a reset link to that email. The link is valid for one hour. Open it, enter a new password of 12 to 128 characters, and submit the form.
A successful reset returns you to the login page and revokes existing account sessions. Log in with the new password. A reset link can fail because it expired, was already used, or was replaced by a later reset request. Request another link if the page says the link is invalid or expired.
If the reset message does not arrive:
- Check that you entered the same email used at signup.
- Check spam, junk, quarantine, and mail rules.
- Wait for normal mail delivery before sending several requests.
- Request a new link after the earlier link has had time to arrive.
- Use the support link in the public site footer if you still cannot regain access.
There is no change password screen inside the signed in product. Use password reset when you need a new password, even if you still know the current one.
Account settings for email and identity
There is no screen to change the account email or account name after signup. There is also no account deletion control. Use the Support link in the site footer if you need help with an account identity or account lifecycle issue.
Support is the correct place to ask about an unsupported change, but the presence of a support link does not mean support can change an email, delete an account, or perform another unsupported operation. Explain what you need and avoid sending a password or client link unless support specifically requires an approved verification step.
Project client emails are also fixed after project creation. Create a new project when future updates must go to another address. Read Managing Projects for the full set of unsupported project edits.
Choose light or dark theme
The site follows the browser or operating system color preference when you have not chosen an override. Select the theme toggle in the header to switch between light and dark mode.
The browser saves your explicit choice in local storage and applies it before the page is displayed on later visits. The choice is stored in that browser, not in your account. Another browser or device can therefore use a different theme.
If local storage is unavailable or blocked, the selected theme still applies to the current page. It may not remain after navigation or a later visit, and the site falls back to the browser preference. Changes to the browser preference are reflected when there is no saved override.
The current control switches between light and dark. There is no account level theme setting and no control that removes a saved override to return directly to automatic mode. You can switch to the mode you want, or clear the site's browser storage if you need the browser preference to take control again.
Export account data
The Projects page includes Export account. Select it to download a text export of account and project records available to your owner account. Store the export according to your client confidentiality and retention duties because it can contain project information.
An export is a snapshot at the time you request it. It does not close the account, stop emails, turn off nudges, or remove server data. There is no import control, and the export should not be treated as a way to restore changes through the product.
Use these account settings to protect access and keep your own copy of account data. For mail states and sender behavior, read Email Delivery. Review Pricing for the current public plan information, and use the guide for the main client update workflow.
